What are wire expenses and who pays for them?
Wire expenses are the fees imposed by the utility companies such as Hydro-Quebec and Bell for the removal of the wires above the roadway during the move. The client is responsible for all these expenses and they are never included in our contract. It is a good idea to contact the utility companies before a prospective move, in order to obtain a ballpark figure for the expenses. In some cases, wire expenses can be more costly than the actual moving expenses.
