The common method is to build a completely waterproof foundation, using high tech rubber membranes throughout, thereby creating a dry basement. Another method is to create a backfilled berm using approved granular material and building a concrete knee wall or pad to support the house. We can also raise the entire house along with its concrete foundations above the high water mark and backfill underneath.
